Teresa Lines

Teresa Lines currently works as a security supervisor, logistics manager and deputy project manager as part of a humanitarian team supporting the work of the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the project and acts as a subject matter expert on all training platforms associated with it.

Prior to this role, Terri Lines was a freelance close protection management operative. In this role she undertook strategic planning, the coordination of security measures and risk mitigation to diffuse potential threats and ensure the well-being of protected individuals.

Experience

Ms Lines is a flexible and dynamic professional who has wide-ranging experience in incident and operations management and accident investigation. She has excellent skills in defining and executing regulations, policies and procedures regarding security and asset safety, and she has expertise in designing, developing and overseeing the implementation of technical and safety training programmes.

Having previously served in the 6th Battalion Light Infantry as a chef, Ms Lines maintains an interest in staying healthy and fit and follows a structured regime to ensure a healthy work-life balance. Still a keen cook, she also likes to try new exotic recipes and dishes.

Ms Lines has served as a public safety officer at several major music festivals, including Glastonbury, which she cites as the most challenging she’s been involved with in terms of ensuring the safety of all attendees. She is particularly interested in crowd philosophy and crowd science, a knowledge of which can be an essential element in safely managing large crowds.

Education and Professional Development

Ms Lines holds a degree in hospitality management and a City & Guilds qualification in hospitality and catering. She has also successfully undertaken a wide range of further professional development and training courses, including First Aid Response Level 3, Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 3, Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry, and UNICEF Safeguarding.

Hobbies & Interests

In 2017 Ms Lines climbed to Everest Base Camp 2 and as a result she has since taken a keen interest in the history of the mountain. She enjoys walking in general, particularly along the coast of Scotland and around the beautiful areas of her home in Dorset. She finds it fascinating to learn about the history and stories behind these areas, such as the Roman invasion of Britain.

When she’s not busy working, Ms Lines enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Within the next five years she hopes to visit Washington DC, Petra (in Jordan), Sri Lanka, Russia and India. She also likes watching sitcoms and food programmes, following international rugby, reading, listening to music from the ’80s and all forms of body strength training.
